Di Camillo Bakery opens Village Main Street location

Di Camillo Bakery has opened its first Erie County location at 5329 Main St., near Union Road in the Village of Williamsville.

Founded in 1920 in Niagara Falls by Tomaso and Addolorata Di Camillo, the Di Camillo family business has continued to grow, with Williamsville being the fifth retail store. The grand opening celebration was held on Sept. 19.

In addition to bakery items, breakfast and lunch are served in the cafe with sandwiches, soups and pizza.

Di Camillo’s Williamsville branch is located in the former Flowers by the Courtyard building — a 140-year-old structure. Renovated to maintain the historic value, Di Camillo’s had the building blessed by the Rev. Lawrence Milby of Nativity of Our Lord Church and Sister Francis Marie of Saint Mary of the Angels.

“Daily from our bakeries, we have been making distinctive handmade breads and biscotti, which have become a staple for generations of area residents and families,” Michael Di Camillo said.

In conjunction with retail outlets, the Di Camillo Bakery has been shipping its product around the world for more than 20 years.
